Our French Study Programs:

Conversational study courses

  1. Beginners (European Reference A1) –This course is aimed at students who have no or very basic knowledge of French. It will be mostly taught in French to familiarize students with the language as much as possible. The main focus lies on speaking, to enable students to have daily conversations in French. For example, students will learn how to introduce yourself, talk about your job, your family and friends, time etc.
  2. Low Intermediate (European Reference A2) – In this course students will learn how to communicate more freely in French on daily topics. It will cover basic grammar, enabling you make full sentences in the past, present and future tense. Students will get acquainted with French media and study issues French culture faces. In addition,in this study course students will learn practical writing skills, such as composing a letter and a resume in French.
  3. Intermediate (European Reference B1) – This course is aimed at students who wish to live in France or Quebec or who wish to take their knowledge of French language and culture to a higher level. It practices conversational skills while discussing and debating different aspects of French culture.  This course is entirely taught in French and makes use of different kinds of French media and literature.

About the teacher:

vincent french teacher at culture yard Vincent is Culture Yard’s main French teacher and French expert. Vincent is currently working as the French Foreign Expert at Beijing International Studies University, as well as teaching French here at Culture Yard. He works with students who are interested in studying in France and Quebec, giving advice on legal issues, on the language and answering any questions about the lifestyle or French culture. He comes from a History background, as he did his Bachelor and Maters in History at the Univeristy Lumiere in Lyon, France. He has had much experience teaching over the years, in France, Ireland and now Beijing. He is very knowledgeable on the transition from France to Asia and visa versa, and is a perfect liaison for students from both sides. He speaks French, English and Italian.
