Studying Russian in Beijing at Culture Yard

Russia is a country famous for vodka, caviar, borsch, ballet, athletes, Putin etc. If you plan to travel, live, study or work in Russia our Russian teacher will encourage you to learn the language and introduce Russian culture to you.

We use the teaching method Антонова В.Е.Дорога в Россию учебник русского языкам (走遍俄罗斯). Our lessons focus on Russian in daily-life situations.

• Each lesson is interactive: we encourage students to talk as much Russian as possible.
• We follow students’ progress: you will be assessed twice during each course and receive advice on how to further improve your Russian.
• We provide materials (books, CD-ROM) for you to practice your Russian at home.

Each course consists of 30 hours classroom time + 30 hours self-study. We offer private and group classes. Group classes have a maximum of 6 students.

Conversation Study Courses

After successful completion of the following two courses (Beginner 1+2), students will have reached the European Reference A1 level.

Beginner 1-  This course is aimed at students who have no or very basic knowledge of the Russian language. The main focus is on having daily conversations in Russian. After completing the course, you will be able to introduce yourself and others, talk about your family, ask for directions, talk about your likes and dislikes, make simple telephone calls and talk about the weather.

Beginner 2 – This course is aimed at students who have basic knowledge of Russian. It will cover basic grammar, enabling you make full sentences in the past, present and future tense. After completing the course, you will be able to ask about prices, talk about your hobbies, describe your home town, ask about someone’s whereabouts and talk about seasons of the year.

(High-)Intermediate and private classes:  Available upon request.

Moving to Russia: Culture Yard offers consultation on immigration and working in Russia.
