Culture Yard Beijing Internship Program

Culture Yard is an established language school and cultural centre based in the heart of Beijing. We aim to promote cross-culture activities and language courses to foreigners and Chinese. We take pride in using our centre as a learning space which is why we have created our own internship program. We offer internships to people coming from abroad as well as people already based in Beijing.

Our internship programs vary from administration internships, to hiking leader apprenticeships and marketing and PR positions. We often look for graduate students or students who are still undergoing their degree. In our internship program the intern is allowed to really explore their skills and are given full responsibility over the projects they take on. Due to the fact that we are still a growing company and small base team interns are taken on as a ‘real’ team member and allowed to take part in all staff meetings, business decisions and potential projects.

Interns are given the support they need to create a new idea as well as the structure they need to complete the tasks asked of them under the internship. Culture Yard will also give full support when applying for Chinese visas from abroad and can also aid in finding accommodation and provide any more information you will need about coming to Beijing.

Culture Yard offers programs at a minimum of four months, however many interns do end up becoming part of the team once their internship is complete.

Internship Program Vacancies:

Foreign Marketing Intern

Main Responsibilities:
1) Editing and updating company website
2) Writing and editing company newsletters
3) Promoting company’s classes and events through social media and local print media
4) additional responsibilities might include:
- assisting in activities organization
- participating in networking events and business development

Requirements:
1) A native or close to native English writing skills
2) Able to commit to a minimum of 4 months, 5 days a week work
3) Interest and/or experience in marketing/PR
4) Basic computer skills
5) Able to work independently and in a team

A certain advantage would be given to applicants with the following skills/experience:
1) Design skills (PS, InDesign)
2) A more then basic level of Mandarin Chinese
3) Educational background in Marketing/Design
4) Knowledge or experience in SEO and/or PHP (WordPress)

Our company will provide you with:

2) 500 RMB / month for food and transportation expenses
3) Free language classes and participation in activities (upon availability)
4) An opportunity for a part/full time position at the end of the internship
